THE FOLLOWING ARE THE REQUIREMENTS YOU NEED TO FOLLOW:
CATEGORIES: Two dimensional: All
work on paper, canvas or that hangs
Three
dimensional: Self-standing sculpture, glass, fine gold and silver jewelry, fine
pottery and mixed media. Be specific of your exact medium
CASH AWARDS: Best of Show: $1,000.00
Two and
Three dimensional first place: $700.00 for each category
Two and
Three dimensional second place: $500.00 for each category
Two and Three
dimensional third place: $300.00 for each category
NOT PERMITED: Clothing, t-shirts, tote bags, handbags, belts, buckles. All work must be artist’s completely original work. NO commercially purchased art or enhancements will be permitted. We reserve the right to examine the art and will ask the artist to leave the show if these conditions are not met. Please read last page.
CONDITIONS: The Artist must be physically
present the 2 days of the show. Representatives are not acceptable. Artists will display works that are exactly as those described on their application and on
their CDs. For example, if you enter as fine jewelry, artist cannot display
or sell anything else that is not fine original jewelry. Absolutely NO Pop-Up or colored Tents.
ENTRY FEE: $267.50
for single space; $400.00 for double space, payable to The Cultural Council,
Inc. These include State Tax. New
Artists: A separate check must be
received with the application in the amount of $25.00 for the jurying and
judging fees. There shall be NO refund
of artist’s fee once the jurors have accepted the artist into the show. We can rent the tent for you for $100;
sidewalls $50 extra. This includes delivery, set-up and removal.
JURYING FOR All work will be juried by professionals from
Digital Disc including three (3)
NEW ARTISTS:
original works. NO SLIDES OR
PHOTOS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Jurors will be professionals.
Digital Discs are required
of all new artists; must be well
photographed, with sharp clear
contrasts. If an artist brings work that does not meet our requirements or
violates what is permitted, the artist will be asked to leave.
JUDGES: Judges will be professionals. Most
are artists in their own right. Credentials are available upon request at the show
from the Jurors and Judges Chairman.
Judging will take place Saturday
morning.
BOOTH: Each space is 10’ x 10’. See Entry for double space. A tent is required for ALL two dimensional work; optional for three dimensional works. 3-dimensional work must be on stands. NO Pop-up or colored tents.
SET UP: ALL
artists shall set up on Friday, October 24th, by assigned arrival
time. This will be stated in the acceptance letter. ALL artists must
be set up by
ARTIST’S
SITE: Sites
will be indicated at the time of set up on Friday.
LIABILITY: Nothing
shall be insured by the Cultural Council, Inc., the Village of Palmetto Bay or
Coral Reef Park.
VEHICLES: Vans,
small panel trucks, SUVS may be driven to the artists sites where
permitted. Motor Homes and
large trucks or vehicles with trailers will not be permitted. Everyone: Dollies are a must. NO vehicles are permitted behind an artist’s booth
during show hours. Overnight
stay in the park or on the side streets is NOT permitted; vehicles will be
towed. We provide motel information.
PETS: Pets
of any kind are not permitted on the grounds nor may be left inside
vehicles.

artists must leave the park by

Jurying of New
Artists:
ABOUT ITEMS NOT PERMITTED AND CONDITONS:
In
consultation with professional jurors and judges, and, after several complaints
from artists, judges and the public, the items Not Permitted on page 2,
are not considered fine craft. Our show is and always has been a
fine art show. This year we are permitting fine crafts from fine artisans.
If discs
and/or applications are submitted under one category or medium, we will not
permit ANY works that are not representative of those on the application and/or
Disc.

PLEASE NOTE:
Entry fee checks will be
deposited upon receipt. If an artist is not accepted, the fee will be returned
in full.
The jury fee from new
artists will not be refunded.
Any check returned by the
bank for insufficient fund will require replacement via Money Order with an
additional charge $20.00.
In the event of torrential
rains or an act of God, the show will not be rescheduled. There will not be any refunds

organization made up of volunteer, dues-paying members who dedicate their time
and talent by bringing cultural and artistic events to South Miami Dade.
